I completely agree with you J4ce ... that's why helloween aren't popular as Maiden, Metallica ... cuz their promotion sucks.. their music quality is in superior level and they deserve to be known as other big bands too, there is their place.. they just need promotion more and more ..
i'm really glad that they're releasing another album .. even if they release it after 2 yrs i would be patient to wait for it cuz i know they will have at least 4-5 songs that will be masterpieces =)
[ they need promotion non-stop, even if they don't release albums ]
Helloween - Albanian Fans
4 months before HALLOWEEN and we know nothing ... strange very very very strange ... like I said before ... this band looks like death band ... David are you sure that band still exist ?![]()
What do you think? That management and company are stupid?
There are tons of studies about market situations and the consuming behavior of people. If you plan to release an album at a certain date maybe it just makes no big sense to official anaunce it 6 mounths before. The plan must be, to have the biggest impact on the consumer to go and buy the album after the release. Many people may loose interest if the time between announcement and release is to long, what do i know. I just guess that there is some plan and i'm sure the announcement will come early enough for everybody. What about Gamma-Ray? they plan to release an album this year too, as far as i know and what did they announce?
We may have 4 mounth too the release from now on, as you mentioned. Way too long for me and many others if we would get the announcement now. The 4 mounths would become veeery long then. I think it makes sense 3 mounths before and then the fans need to be feeded with little information pieces every few weeks to stay hyped till the final day. All combined hopefully with a little input from the media. You know 25th anniversary and thinks like this. I hope for some Helloween-history stories and a few interviews and alos David asked the whole band for interviews as far as he told.
in EU itīs the same situation
And in Brazil
Only people who like metal know these bands... the others only know about Britney, Lady Gaga and those mainstream things

Thats because this kind of music (metal) is no mainstream at allbut for a german band in general Helloween are pretty sucessfull if you see the nakes figures. Most german acts have not the slightest chance on the international market and even better known bands like Rammstein hardly make a hit in the US Billboard Charts, like "Gambling" did, not to mention the chance of doing a real world tour.
itīs not problem only with german bands .... there was only one band from EU with succeces in US - Deff Leppard
He said, "I locked you in this body,
I meant it as a kind of trial.
You can use it for a weapon,
or to make some woman smile."
... not metal .... but I agree it depends from point of view

Metal is not mainstream? Are you joking me? I think that metal is very much mainstream nowadays. Bands like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Dream Theater, Rammstein, Nightwish, Opeth & Dimmu Borgir are mainstream to me. Here in Finland you can see people everywhere who has a metal band T-shirt. Many small and big metal bands have sold out shows in here, and metal festivals grow larger and more popular every year. You can also hear that metal is mainstream today, as metal is much played on radio. Metal bands are often the #1 on the most selling albums of the week list. And about 2-3 years ago a guy here in Finland won the TV song competition "Idols" (same as the American Idol, but Finnish version) by singing metal, and that show is supposed to bring up new pop-singers! So yes: metal is mainstream.
Oh, and so that my post isn't only 'off topic', I must say that I would like to hear some news from the forthcoming 25th anniversary album soon![]()
